...Yes, the decor is hip. In fact, just about everything seems hip here. From the 20-somethings milling about, to the bottle list, to the wait staff and bartenders, to the music, to the bathrooms even. There's just a hip vibe everywhere. But there's also a comfortable vibe as well. I didn't sense any pretension from the staff or the patrons. Everyone at The Fifth was friendly and welcoming - something you might not find at that lounge in Manhattan or that sky bar in Vegas. I gotta say I really like hip, yet comfortable.....
Orlando, FL (October 17, 2012) – Now onlookers on Orange Avenue can get an even closer look into the action inside Downtown Orlando’s popular new restaurant and lounge “The Fifth”. Just five months after the hugely successful grand opening, The Fifth's boutique liquor and spirits store will double as a sleek bar at night. The new space comes complete with a 20-foot Onyx counter for patrons to enjoy the Fifth’s delicious comfort food menu and cocktails while looking out at bustling Orange Avenue. Plus, the new bar space contains The Fifth's signature LED ceiling and leather bar stools along with an extension of the sound system for hassle free service and energy steps from the main restaurant.
Orlando, FL (March 15, 2012) - Beginning in April, the heart of Downtown Orlando’s arts, entertainment and dining district welcomes its newest addition “The Fifth” poised to redefine, revitalize and delight the cultural scene. From the same proprietors who bring you Downtown’s first-class nightlife venues comprising The V Group - Vintage Lounge, Vixen Bar and NV Art Bar - comes their newest concept that not only will satisfy your thirst, but also please your palate day and night.
Food at The Fifth was a very big deal to the owners and more importantly to its head chef, Dean Holland from Le Cordon Bleu. The menu was one of the toughest decisions for the group to decide on. It took a lot of time and careful consideration to develop the menu they wanted. The idea was to offer something that was different from the normal staple of downtown Orlando, but they also wanted something familiar to the senses. What they came up with was a unique and eclectic twist on traditional comfort food served in a an upscale atmosphere with down home tastes.
Gitto, a partner in downtown Orlando nightclub and restaurant operator The V Group, said that’s when he started coming up with plans for The Fifth, a restaurant and lounge that he envisioned as a great place for a more fulfilling late-night bite. So, he converted his convenience store into a 2,100-square-foot restaurant and lounge with a patio....
Preheat a grill or grill pan. Cut avocados in half, remove pit. Sprinkle kosher salt and fresh ground pepper. Drizzle with olive oil. Spray grill with cooking spray and place avocados face side down on hot grill for two min then quarter turn for one more. Flip over and heat skin side down for two min or until meat of avocado is soft. Garnish with several tablespoons of Black Bean Pico de Gallo. Enjoy!
The Fifth’s stylish onyx bar is adorned with LED lighting that can showcase 16 million different colors. The lighting continues onto the intricately patterned ceiling, setting a chic mood. The walls are finished with striking white quartz, while contemporary couch-like seating and cocktail tables frame the outskirts of the bar and provide seating for up to 60. The Fifth’s design is sleek and modern, a nice contrast to its sister venues next door. The crowd is mostly young professionals, contributing to the upscale environment.
"The Fifth has a couple more twists: Just inside the entry, there's an alcove to the right where the owners have set up a high-end package store stocked with beer, fine wines and spirits. In the evening the dining tables can be lowered to cocktail height giving the room lots of versatility. By day, The Fifth is a mild-mannered addition to the downtown dining scene. In the evening, the restaurant and bar merge with Vintage to up the ante for late-night dining."
This video features an exclusive interview between Andrea Jackson (LifeLongShopping TV) and The Fifth Bartender/ Manager Heather Witucki for a great refreshing summer cocktails by The Fifth called "The V Peach", "The Coco Palm", and "The Greenhouse"
Have you seen The Fifth at 112 S. Orange Ave in downtown Orlando? The interior is freaking stunning. The ceiling has a million lighting levels. Seriously. Almost every wall is covered in a different texture: wood, rough stone, backlit plastic, and more.
While Senso appears a little stingy with the foodstuffs concept, the Fifth grabs it with a bear hug and runs with it right into the lounge scene. If you're on the hunt for some nighttime grub and looking for a typical late-night eatery, the scenery at the Fifth can be a little jarring. It's gorgeously adorned with sumptuous lighting, from the pink and blue hues creeping up the sparkling white-rock wall to the serpentine detail of the lit ceiling. The place is awash in posh from first glance, making the lack of a cover at the door all the more welcome. The bar is packed with stools, tall tables litter the floor, and the faux-snakeskin booths along a wall can seat about 25 comfortably.

The Fifth was featured in an online article on Whats2hot.com. "Orlando is admired for its distinctive and memorable entertainment and dining. People come from all over the world to see, engage and taste in this dynamic city. As a little girl, I dreamed of living close to Mickey himself. When I finally moved here as an adult, I found my playground to be only a few miles away from “The Mouse”, in Downtown Orlando. Beautiful people, lively bars and clubs, an electrifying music scene and out of this world restaurants are just some of Downtown Orlando’s many perks. As much as I love all there is to do in this area, I am always on the lookout for new concepts, something that will shift the Downtown vibe in an eye-catching way. The Fifth has done just that for me." Read full post for more information.
The Fifth was featured by Scott Joseph - Orlando Restaurant Guide. he Fifth, a swanky lounge with a more-than-bar-food menu, opened in downtown Orlando last month. The Fifth is part of The V Group -- Vintage Lounge, Vixen Bar and NV Art Bar -- so the name is apparently a play on the V as a Roman numeral. Or maybe it's a booze reference.
